Job Duties

  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

  • Build and install decks, fences, balconies, stairs, and railings.

  • Perform carpentry work according to construction drawings, plans, and specifications.

  • Measure, cut, fit, and install structural and finishing materials.

  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

  • Repair and maintain existing wooden structures.

  • Perform residential construction and renovation work.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant carpentry experience.

  • Knowledge of residential construction processes.

  • Experience with decks, fences, stairs, railings, and other residential carpentry projects.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • Ability to safely operate common carpentry hand and power tools.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work.

Concrete Finisher

Eiffel Construction Ltd. is hiring a full-time Concrete Finisher in Edmonton, Alberta.

Wage: $33.00–$37.00 per hour (to be negotiated)

Job Duties

  • Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials before concrete placement.

  • Direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.

  • Fill hollows and remove high spots on freshly poured concrete.

  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.

  • Level concrete surfaces according to grade and depth specifications.

  • Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.

  • Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure concrete surfaces.

  • Waterproof, damp-proof, restore, repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged concrete surfaces.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, maps, and specifications.

  • Estimate required materials and quantities.

  • Use hand and power tools and concrete finishing equipment safely.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant concrete finishing experience.

  • Knowledge of concrete construction and finishing processes.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Job Duties

  • Supervise workers and coordinate concrete finishing projects.

  • Coordinate and schedule work activities.

  • Set up and oversee the use of machines and equipment.

  • Estimate costs, materials, and quantities required for projects.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, maps, and specifications.

  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies.

  • Lead and instruct workers on construction activities and procedures.

  • Ensure that health and safety regulations and company safety procedures are followed.

  • Recommend personnel actions when required.

  • Direct concrete placement according to grade and specifications.
